What is CJ?

What makes a good CJ report?

  • First things first - the 5Ws and 1H

Your story needs to include the basics. That's who, what, where, when, why and how and it needs to be true.
  • It connects

Someone has to care about the story and the people in it, or it's not really worth telling. But don't shy away from sharing problems or issues that affect you. You'll be amazed to find how many others face similar problems.
  • Issues

Pick up issues that you have worked on. Remember this isn't a gripe platform. It's all about stand up, speak out and fight back.
  • Share proof

Share the proof of whatever you are alleging with us. That helps team CJ to partner with you.
  • Keep a record

Do keep a record of all the communication that you've had with authorities in trying to resolve your problem. Again that's useful for us.
  • Photo and video

Take pictures/videos with your mobile phone that may help your story. Eg: if your story is about illegal encroachments, do take pictures of the illegal construction.
  • Contact details

And of course, do share your contact details and the city you are in so we can get in touch with you.
